| Description: | The objectives of the project are related to the identification, localization and positioning of endemic/subendemic plants in the mountainous areas of Korçë, Berat and Vlorë counties; the identification and evaluation of the user potentials of plants of the genus Crocus and Centaurea in the area under study, expanding in special cases such as Sazan Island for the species of the genus Centaurea in the Kukës region and for the species of the genus Crocus in the region of Shkodra; identification and localization of species of the order Odonata, Lepidoptera and Gastropoda, with a focus on the genus Spelaeodiscus; observation and assessment of Plant-Insect coexistence in their natural environment, identification of new species unknown until now; as well as the establishment of a HUB in the Department of Biology as a coordinating center for data flow and discussions between partners and BioNNA in order to increase the quality of scientific research and environmental education of students and staff of protected areas. |
