Zhongnan University of Economics and Law was founded in 1948, in Wuhan, a metropolis of Central China. This university is an institution of higher education under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, with its main disciplines in economics, law and management. Tongji University, in Shanghai, is one of the leading universities in China under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education, listed in the "985 Project" and "211 Project". The university now covers 10 broad categories of academic disciplines, including engineering, science, medicine, management, economics, philosophy, literature, law, education and art. Basic information
Level of education and field of study: Postgraduate, master's degree in the field of intellectual property;

Duration: The program will last 2 years. One year of academic study will take place in China and in the second year the candidate will return to their respective country where they will complete the thesis and oral defense (via videoconference) practicing what is learned from the program in their daily work;
*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the first year of the 2021/2022 program in China may take place via distance learning in the applicants' home country, and at this time, scholarships in China may have been cancelled. However, whether applicants can come to China for study will depend on the development of the epidemic situation. Applicants are therefore requested to consider the situation in question.
Conditions for the benefit of the Diploma: If the candidate meets the requirements of academic studies and qualifies through the defense of the oral examination of the subject of the diploma according to the plan, he/she will graduate and be equipped with a master's degree;
Language: English.
2. Scholarship coverage:
The candidate will receive the Chinese government scholarship, which will cover:
(1) Education;
(2) Boarding in China;
(3) Permanent monthly allowance in China: RMB 3.000/month (Renminbi local currency equivalent to 1 RMB about 15.71 Lek according to the daily exchange rate);

- Application and Admission Procedures
(1) Applicants must complete the Application Form for the Master's Program in Intellectual Property Law and the Application Form for the Chinese Government Scholarship, as indicated in points 4 (1) and 4 (2) above;
(2) Applicants must submit both forms and their attachments to the national intellectual property office/authority in their respective countries;
(3) The national intellectual property office/authority is then required to provide its nomination comments and send the list of 3-4 proposed applicants and their application materials to the Office of the Public Service Provider via courier NO later than April 15, 2021;

(4) Upon receipt of materials from applicants, the State Intellectual Property Office, cooperating universities and the China Scholarship Council (the branch of the Ministry of Education in charge of Government Scholarship Programs) will establish a special panel to select candidates for the program from the applicants, based on these materials and will determine the university where the candidate has been accepted. The candidate will receive the Chinese government scholarship upon acceptance.
(5) The relevant authority will issue the Letter of Acceptance, which will be sent together with the China study visa application (Form JW201) directly to the candidates from his/her host university.
* Please note that accepted applicants are not allowed to change their university, field and duration of study as noted in Letter of Acceptance.
6. Program Management
(1) Candidates are expected to enroll in the cooperating university within the period as shown in the Letter of Admission.
(2) The cooperating university will undertake curricular and extra-curricular management. Information about the performance of candidates will be reported by the universities on a regular basis.
(3) Candidates will undergo an assessment after the first year of study, the result of which will be reported later. Candidates must pass the assessment to continue the program in the second year. After returning to their respective countries in the second year of the program, candidates are expected to complete their theses at their workplaces. The theses must be submitted to the cooperating universities upon completion within the relevant time frame. If the university believes that a candidate's thesis meets the relevant requirements, an oral defense will be arranged via teleconference. The university will then send the diploma and certificate for the master's degree to candidates who pass the defense of the oral examination.
