The Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof Dr Mynyr Koni, held on Wednesday, 19 June 2019, a visit at the University of Turin, Italy, upon invitation of the Rector of this university, Prof Gianmaria Ajani. This visit comes after a cooperation between the two universities in the framework of the Erasmus programme and other joint programmes, and to further extend this cooperation.

In this meeting, the Rector of the University of Tirana was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Prof Dr Sabri Laçi, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Prof Dr Artur Sula, and senator Prof Dr Esmeralda Kromidha.

The Rectors of the two universities closely discussed further steps in their meeting. In this framework, a cooperation agreement was signed that will pave the way for potential joint study programmes. In particular, Prof Koni and Prof Ajani expressed their commitment to opening a joint study programme in the second cycle in the area of modern languages and communication at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

Furthermore, it was agreed for the two universities to increase exchanges in Erasmus+ projects for students and staff.
