The project central objective is to contribute for the citizens’ understanding toward history and diversity. 

These specific goals relate to the awareness increase on the “historic memory”, common history, EU values and goals, to promote peace, its values and its people’s well-being stimulating debates, reflection, and networks creation.

The aim is to explore the civil participation during the Enver Hoxha’s totalitarian regime period, as a need to address the history of the past.

The participants cooperation regarding the project implementation will include:

• Mediatic discourse analysis regarding the migration phenomenon in the selected European countries, especially the social media discourse;
• Preparing a discourse comparative analysis in individual countries, pointing out the regional specifics and the “pan-European” problematics;
• A comparison of the discourse research methodology used by researchers from different research centers as an effort to develop a joint standard.
• Establishing a research team that works on the mediatic discourse analysis regarding partner countries emigrants and informing workshops organization, using the television and written media to inform.

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund – UNICEF is working all over the world to support qualitative teaching for all girls and boys, especially those in great risk to be left behind.

 

Program Title: Preparing the social care workforce for a new system of social care delivery at a local level

Funders: UNICEF, Albania

Duration: July 2019 – June 2021

The main goal of the project is contribution to strengthen pre-service capacities and those in the service of social workers and other social protection staff involved in social protection aspects administration through approximating the social work plan-program with the new legislation and the new system requirements, in order to develop the capacities of the social workforce in the best practices of research and practice in dealing with children and families in vulnerable situations.

The main objectives of this project are:

• Creating platforms and mechanisms for the regular and systematic practices for the social workforce development and planing through the academics, policy-makers and practitioners in the social care services field;
• Empowering the social care workforce through the pre-services programs and those in service of the social workers.

Project outputs will include:

• Social Services Platform Development, which will aim to bring together the main actors such as: policy-makers, local government, researchers in the social services field, national community, and social workers. The online platform will provide the professionals with access to legal and normative framework information, different sources, and peer support and access experts, wherever they are.
• Developing an all-inclusive Resource Package in the legal and normative framework, different sources and the expertise of peer access and support will help all practitioners and policy-makers in a common understanding and best implementation.
• Research on the social services history and Albania social work profession that will deal with this field lacking data and will help establish a history of the social work profession in the community.
