On June 9, 2017, the University of Tirana Rector, Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni received Mr. Marash Dukaj, Deputy Minister of Education, and Mr. Leon Gjokaj, Deputy Minister for Human and Minority Rights, in a work meeting.
Following a brief description of the University, Rector Koni emphasized that supporting students from Albanian territories abroad constitutes one of the University of Tirana’s priorities, although applications from Albanians from Montenegro are few in number. Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni expressed his commitment to approve applications, considering that the quotas for students from Albanian territories abroad are approved by the University of Tirana.
Mr. Dukaj and Mr. Gjokaj thanked the University of Tirana and the Rector, Prof. Dr. Mynyr Koni for their unconditional support toward students from Albanian territories abroad. They made a request to increase the number of quotas for students from Albanian territories abroad, as well as to guarantee that all applications would be approved.
Moreover, Mr. Dukaj and Mr. Gjokaj stated that students from Albanian territories in Montenegro are also interested in pursuing third-cycle studies.
