The two largest Albanian-speaking universities in our countries, the University of Tirana (UT) and the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” (UP), signed on 07.07.2021 the Cooperation Agreement in order to promote and develop science, art, physical education and sports, training of specialists, preparation of young scientists in accordance with the development priorities of the two countries.
The two parties will cooperate in designing, applying and/or implementing joint projects, organizing various activities such as debates, conferences, symposia, workshops, summer and winter schools in different fields of science, facilitating student transfer procedures between universities as well as allowing short-term exchanges of academic/administrative staff and students.
In the context of European integration and free movement which both countries aim for, it should be started with “better integration with each other” and be together for all the challenges of higher education.
Rectors of both universities expressed confidence that this cooperation will be effective and long-term.
