On 06.21.2021 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Rectorate of the University of Tirana between the Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha and Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco, Head of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Presence in Albania.

The Memorandum of Understanding aims at establishing the framework for co-operation and co-ordination between the OSCE and the University of Tirana for the implementation of projects and activities in fields of the rule of law, good governance, democratization, human rights and other common areas through projects such as:

“Albanian institutions and professionals’ capacity building in the field of transitional justice”

“Support to the academic and policy debate on transitional justice”

“Media in Focus – Strengthening the Public Broadcaster and the School of Journalism in Albania”

“Legal Education of the Public”.

The Rector, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha emphasized the existing cooperation that the University of Tirana has with the OSCE, where among others he singled out the opening of the Executive Master in “Criminology” as a success, which is implemented at the Faculty of Law, while Ambassador Vincenzo Del Monaco congratulated University of Tirana for the work on the implementation of joint projects which are underway.

The Deans of the University of Tirana were also present at this event.
