Rector of the University of Tirana, Prof. Dr. Artan Hoxha held the first official meeting with the Ambassador of Germany in Albania, Mr. Peter Zingraf.

The possibilities of cooperation between UT and the German Universities, as well as the readiness to intensify the current changes and to build new bridges of cooperation with the new universities were discussed during the meeting.

UT has currently several active cooperation agreements with the University of Saarland in the framework of the Erasmus + program.

University of Eberswaldes; Koblenz University of Applied Sciences; Emden Leer University of Applied Sciences, Humboldt University in Berlin. Within the applications of various projects there has been cooperation with the academic staff of various universities and institutes and cooperation in international projects with German universities and organizations as well.

Head of the Press & Culture Office, Head of Education at the German Embassy in Albania, Mr. Martin Zickendraht, Deputy Rector of the Scientific Research at UT, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Bernard Dosti and Dr. Erida Elmazi from the Directorate of Scientific Research, Projects and Foreign Relations at UT were also present at the meeting.

Both parties expressed the will and readiness to intensify relations and participation in joint projects in the field of education.
